In Japan, the safest car called iSAVE-SC1, according to the developers, was built by Japanese company Humanix.
The scientists from the University of the notorious city of Hiroshima (Hiroshima University) participated in the development of the car.
This vehicle can not be considered a full-fledged car.
Its maximum speed is 50 km per hour.
Expenses on such a vehicle, according to the Japanese, will be 5-10 times less than on a regular car.
Perk of the car is its exterior, safe for pedestrians, over which there was all this fuss.
Front, back and sides of the car are covered with soft materials and what is the most important – at the time of impact, these soft “cushions” can blow off the air to the desired air pressure to bring less harm to the pedestrian.
The price $ 10,140 per vehicle has already been announced.
Humanix is taking orders.
The company hopes that the car will be in demand among government agencies, as well as ordinary consumers.
100 copies of the new vehicle are available.
Series production is scheduled for April 2012.
