Argentina’s last dictator was sentenced to life term
He was sentenced for tortures and murders of political opponents.
Crimes were committed over thirty years ago.
Four former soldiers and police officers were also convicted.
General Bignone has been already serving a 25-year sentence for other crimes.
The current trial – the last in a series of processes associated with the military junta in Argentina, where some thirty thousand people were killed or disappeared.
